[Idera acquired Travis CI this week](https://blog.travis-ci.com/2019-01-23-travis-ci-joins-idera-inc). Here's what we think about the acquisition.

Travis CI has long been a good steward of open source with a great open source model, delivering a well-liked product.
We're glad to see that this will continue as part of Idera. CI is also a big part of the GitLab application, and we firmly believe that a rising tide lifts all ships. This acquisition is yet another validation of the importance of CI and automation as an increasingly powerful, critical element of the software development cycle.
