Heroku, owned by Salesforce.com, is a cloud platform as a service (PaaS) supporting several programming languages: Java, Node.js, Scala, Clojure, Python, PHP, and Go.  It is built to manage the deployment of your applications focusing on configuring, scaling, tuning and managing these apps.
